Life with a Triumph T90
Suppliers
There's a lot of good suppliers out there these days. The eighties marked the turning point when the first "impossible to obtain" items emerged. Then the quality wasn't very good but now things are different. You've got to be prepared to spend some dosh and there's no way you're going to make any return on it but you get good quality components - by and large. Here's a list of the suppliers I've used
Triple S Powder Coating, Bingley Powder coating, specialising in bikes |
Excellent service, drop off 1 weekend, pick it up the next. The finish is tough and doesn't crack off like stove enamelling |
SRM Engineering, Aberystwyth Specialist engineering for Triumph Twins |
First class engineering service for Triumph Twins. The repair on my cracked fin cylinder head was almost perfect. If you want a cheap job don't come here! |
Central Wheel Components, Coleshill Wheel Refurbishment |
Full wheel restoration - repaint the hubs and fit new spokes/rims. They can supply stainless spokes and rims. |
D & C Classics, Cowling, near Keighley Classic Bike Engineering |
Lots of bits for 350/500 Triumph Twins. Swinging arm and filtration kits. They made a nice job of repairing my original crankcase. |
Molnar Precision Engineering, Preston Stainless steel parts and fasteners |
Special catalogue for 350/500 parts. Lots of special parts including QD wheel fittings. They will make up parts for you if you provide dimensions/sample |
Aidpac Stainless Steel Suppliers Stainless Steel Fasteners |
Stainless steel fasteners including BSF and Cycle. Roy is very helpful and provides a quick delivery service. |
Lightning Spares, Sale Stainless Steel Fasteners and some parts |
Stainless steel fasteners. Although mainly catering for BSA, they can supply some Triumph bits - such as screws for the carburetor. |
TMS, Nottingham Triumph Spares |
Specialist supplier of Triumph spares. Catalogue available for 350 twins. |
Tri Supply, Honiton Triumph Spares |
Specialist supplier of Triumph spares. |
Paul Goffs Vehicle Electrical Site Bike Electrics and Oil Filters |
Lots of electrical parts. Especially recommended is the oil filter kit - note that you might have to redrill the bracket if you have the same problem as I did - see page 4 |
Vehicle Wiring Products Car and Bike Electrics |
The answer to plastic bubble packs from Halfords! Everything you could want to rewire a car or bike (although they don't sell looms). Buy the crimp tools and auto wire cutters - they will save you hours of time and give a reliable connection. Some bike bits available. |
Armour Motor Products Exhaust silencers and other bits |
A great place for silencers, exhaust pipes and other accessories. In the past, an Armour silencer has lasted longer on my bike than any other. |
British Only Motorcycles & Parts Inc. British Bike Spares |
Lots of new old stock, well worth a look - especially if you're desparate for a new rocker box cover |
