Highslide JS One rivet sits on a horizontal section. Push the central section down - not to hard as you don't want to push it all the way through. Then gently ease it out of the hole. These things are fine when they are new but after a while they become brittle and are much harder work to release.
Highslide JS The other rivet is at the top and faces forwards. Same process - push the centre. Then ease the whole thing forward so the front point unhooks from the underlying plastic section.
Highslide JS This is what the rivets look like. The on the right is what it looks like after its been removed. The one on the left has been reset ready for reinsertion. Once its inserted in the hole, press the central bit so that it is flush with the outside ring. In my experience, these work fine when they are new. After a couple of years.......
Highslide JS This the top piece of plastic once it has been removed.
Highslide JS The next piece of plastic is more straight forward. Remove the 4 bolts and it comes away easily.
Highslide JS Now we need to remove the red plastic bit. 3 "tongues" on the back of the piece engage in slots on the fourth piece. I gently eased up on the forward side (right in the photo) and it came away relatively easily.
Highslide JS The final and fourth piece is now revealed. This is secured by a single bolt. With this removed you can access the front engine bolts. From now on, its the same as in the earlier version.
